Champion and reserve champion mares and stallions are displayed at the All Morgan Horse show Sunday at Skyfield Farm on Old Clayburn Road. Show which attracted about 500 spectators was jointly sponsored by the BC Morgan Horse Club and the Abbotsford Rotary Club. The Lord Mayor of Morganville (played by Ted Dobson of North Vancouver) drove around the judging ring in an ancient Studebaker gig drawn by a Morgan, with outriders and standard-bearers in the procession, then read the proclamation, officially opening the show. Show was managed by Gerald Fahrni of Skyfield Farm and judged by C C Carpenter of Victoria. Trophies were donated by several businesses: Pacific Northwest Morgan Association, Shiral Acres, BC Morgan Horse Club, Davy Crockett Motels Ltd, Skyfield Farm, Park Hotel, Horse Show management, Rogers and Boyds, Brackmanker, Rotary Club of Abbotsford.
